PLUME EYESHADOW Feather Matte Veil + Feather Shimmer Veil

Insanely overpriced product, basically paying the packaging. The color is super nice, the texture, ok sure innovation or wtv. Application ok cool, im good with my fingers. But the problem with this is that is so balmy and soft, the development was done on the package and not the product, it last 5 minutes, if your lucky, even if you prep or set. I wanted to like it but its a hard pass. Overrated and overpriced.

Even though I have been watching Violette’s videos for some time, it took me a beat to figure out this product. I really enjoy it. She’s a real artist, make up and otherwise. Mine lasted most of the day without priming. Here’s what I figured out: - I don’t use a brush! For better product placement and smoother application, use your fingers on this slightly bouncy powder situation. You can literally just smear this on your lids! - this isn’t a highly pigmented shadow that you need to blend to diffuse, it’s a delicate wash of colour that is SUPER finely milled. A nuanced whisper, je ne sais quoi, it’s all of THAT. Undetectable but enhanced. - Great for travel! No tools or perfect lighting required. I find the packaging so pretty at this price point! Like a jewel in my makeup bag.

It’s a good product. Nice color and bendable without disappearing. But it is too pricey. And I don’t care for the packaging. Kind of cheap and I really dislike the odd shape. It can’t be stacked next to other makeup.

Love the idea of this eyeshadow, but like a lot of her products, the idea is better than the execution. Maybe Sephora needs to invest more dollars into her ideas to get the products where they need to be. I don’t like the packaging either- many of the products feel cheap. This eyeshadow should be in a pot, as a cream to powder, or come with a little spatula to apply. Even finger gets minimal pay off. Live the colour stories and ideas; but please; let the brush pick up the product. The cardboard box it comes in feels nicer than this cheap blue plastic. I expected more from Violette.

I was so excited about this eyeshadow, but it was a major letdown. I have tried so many different ways to get this to work and every attempt is patchy, drying and the color does not translate. This is one of the weirdest formulas - does not work with any brush, finger or even a blender. Same thing with the brand’s blush- I won’t be buying anything else from Violette_FR ever again.

Not to be dramatic, but this the WORST eyeshadow I’ve ever tried. I completely fell for the hype and I wish I had not. I got the shade lait au cafe (which is advertised as a milky beige brown) and it comes out so orange and warm on my fair rosy/neutral skin. The formula is also very odd. The application is patchy and very hard to blend with both a finger and a brush. Skip!

I’m a massive fan and lover of this brand. This is my first eyeshadow of hers. I got it because it’s purple. I have fair skin and green eyes. It swatches like the color online but after I put it on my eyes nobody can see any purple! Everyone says it’s flat brown. It also doesn’t work well with a brush. Only a finger works. Any purple at all disappears with a brush. You must pile it on with your finger to see any color at all. I love the formula but I’m just disappointed I wanted a purple color not brown. I’m going to try other colors but I think in store this time. I ordered online before trying. Don’t do that if you can.

Beautiful! Definitely best for a more natural, effortless look. I apply with my finger to pick up more color. It does crease a little after awhile, but I don’t really mind that because I haven’t come across many shadows that don’t. I mean, we all know shadows tend to crease, and makeup is meant for real life, not some kind of still, filtered photo. The packaging is lovely and I like this shade without shimmer! Great as a base. I will probably purchase a shimmer shade next to top it with. This is quickly becoming a favorite brand for every day makeup. I really appreciate the clean ingredients and the care put in to every product. Particularly when ordering directly from the website, everything is packaged with beauty and care.

Wanted to love, swatched well in store. However, it didn’t translate the same on the eyes. Brush didn’t pick up product easily. Creased, didn’t last long.

The most gorgeous formula and looks absolutely flawless on my eyes for a no-makeup look. I'm sure I'm going to be using this up pretty fast and am super excited to try the other mattes and the shimmers next time
