LOVE Curl Enhancing Conditioner for Curly Hair

Used to be great. New formula is completely different - not hydrating, liquid consistency, doesn’t do much.

I’ve used this shampoo and conditioner combo loyally for the past 15 years on my 2c/3a curls, and am so distressed by the formula change. It is complete trash and terrible quality. Bring back the old formula!

Don’t buy it! They completely changed the formula- it’s different main ingredients, a different texture, way less slip than it used to have, and it smells a lot more chemical/artificial compared to the lovely almond scent it used to have. Even the label is different but they are shipping it as the same product. I ordered a jar early just so I’d have it on hand and didn’t notice the change until I used it the first time. Now with Sephora’s return period change, I’ve passed the return period and am stuck with it.

I used to love this product and was extremely loyal to this brand. Now they have changed the formula to a watery conditioner that is runny and lacks any moisturizing. I will run through this tub faster because of its consistently while already priced higher the cost per use will not be worth it. Do not recommend. The product is not the same since the reformulation and will not hydrate your hair.

I don’t know if this is a new formula but it is very diluted and runny. My previous tubs used to be a lot thicker. Please bring back the original. This just makes my hair dry and frizzy

The old formula was the perfect conditioner, which I used faithfully for years. The new formula is horrible. Thin, runny, and my hair is frizzy, dry, and my next day curls are horrible. Try literally anything else.

Ugh I’m so disappointed in the new formula. I was not expecting it to be reformulated. It’s very watery, thin, and the fragrance is different than the original and VERY strong (it’s like a floral scent, it’s hard to describe but not for me.) The old formula was perfect, very lightly scented and very hydrating. So disappointing and will be returning.

Reformulation of the old Love curl enhancing conditioner. The old conditioner was thick and long lasting. This new reformulation is thin, with different ingredients, and does not hydrate like the old one. Disappointed that there is no call out to the reformulation on the product page or title. The new container is also smaller and more expensive (8.5 oz vs 8.77oz). Will return.

This is not the original Love conditioner from Davines, which I have been using for years. You can tell the moment you open it. The texture is different and the descriptive text and ingredients have changed. This feels like cheap, thin drugstore conditioner in a tub.

I’ve been using the LOVE Conditioner for a couple weeks now and I’m genuinely impressed. It leaves my curls feeling super soft, hydrated, and defined without weighing them down. I noticed less frizz and my hair stays bouncy and shiny after drying. A little product goes a long way, so the jar lasts longer than expected which I would hope for this price point. In addition to this I use the mask and hair mist & it is the perfect trio! The scent is salon-like and luxurious, and my hair feels healthier after every use. Definitely worth the investment if you have curly hair and want that salon feel after a wash. The scent stood out the most to me though, because it’s long lasting and just makes you feel FABULOUS!
