Oat Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm

Used this product when it first hit the shelves during my discovery of skincare. And have since been my most recommended when others asked for my facial routine. But since this “new formula” it’s been more of a disappointment due to the less amount the original had ( I believe close to 8oz?) and how the texture is more of lotion then a cleaning balm that melts into your skin. Due to the texture change, there have been issues when I first open that some of it spills out. Overall, I’m currently looking for better alternatives than this product that I once used as my holy grail towards a glass skin. And this product is now a tombstone of Inkey’s best products that didn’t need to be better or well improved.

I used to LOVE this stuff. I used to swear by it, especially for shaving the private area. it was thick and slippery, no smell, hydrating and worked for removing makeup really well. this product is NOT the same as the original. The new product is runny, does not hold its form, it is yellow, and does not stay on your skin long enough to use for shaving. its also not as good as the older recipe for getting makeup off. I bought the old product probably 10xs, i will not be buying this one again.

Absolutely obsessed with this product. Takes my makeup off instantly after a night out. Even with waterproof mascara on! It’s now implemented into my skincare routine - when I have makeup on! Love it!

The texture of this cleanser is very unique. It’s runnier than other cleansers, making it a bit harder to control how much you dispense. It feels like melted wax. There’s a faint oat and wax scent, but it smells nice. It doesn’t lather like traditional cleansers but it’s very hydrating and cleans well.

The INKEY List Oat Cleansing Balm does a fantastic job of breaking down makeup, SPF, and impurities. It turns into a lovely oil texture as you massage it into the skin. I noticed it can blur my vision slightly if it gets directly into my eyes while removing eye makeup, but it rinses away completely with water without leaving any sting or lasting residue. Most importantly, it leaves my skin feeling amazingly soft, smooth, and nourished after washing. Definitely a great, affordable first cleanse!

I’ve been loving the Oat Cleansing Balm! It has such a rich, buttery texture and does a great job melting away makeup, sunscreen, and everyday buildup without making my skin feel tight or stripped. What I love most is how soft and nourished my skin feels after cleansing. It’s gentle enough for everyday use, and I especially like using it as the first step of a double-cleanse at night. If you’re looking for an affordable cleansing balm that effectively removes makeup while keeping your skin feeling comfortable and hydrated, this one is definitely worth trying!

I’ve been using this product for over 3 years! The latest “New and Improved” packaging came damaged and leaking upon taking it out of its box. I also recently learned this product contains PEG so unfortunately I will not be ordering this anymore.which is an ingredient

I didn't like this at all. I feel like it left my skin oily yet it didn't take off my makeup. I use makeup removing oils and balms on regular basis, so I'm not new at this. I bought a small tube as I thought it would be handy for travel, but I ended up tossing it at the end of my trip as it was not worth bringing home.

First, to other potential customers: I’ve been using this as my first cleanser for at least six years now, maybe longer. It wasn’t the fanciest balm cleanser on the market, but it was great for my skin. Not stripping, didn’t sting my eyes. I liked that a tiny bit of residue was left behind for my foaming cleanser to mop up. Now they’ve reformulated it and it’s just like every other balm cleanser on the market (that didn’t work for my sensitive skin). It’s stripping and irritating, it stung my eyes, and for some reason I paid twice as much for it. Extremely disappointing. To Inkey List: I know that you’re in this to make money and not for the love of the game. But I’d like to point out that product differentiation often pays more than being yet another dupe of a better-liked product. If this product was actually a revenue loser for you, you could have just retired it and came out with a different balm cleanser instead.

Removed makeup but left a thick oily film on my face after rinsing which made me feel even dirtier. It comes off easily with a second cleanse with my Cetaphil cleanser, but I much prefer an oil to milk cleanser like the Cerave makeup removing balm.
