I don’t normally write reviews, but with so many incentivized reviews out there, it can be hard to know what’s actually worth buying. I bought this with my own money, so I wanted to share my experience for anyone else considering it. I’m 37 and completely new to retinol. I have combination skin, sun spots and melasma, and lately I had been noticing that my skin looked duller and fine lines were becoming more noticeable. After doing a good amount of research, I decided it was finally time to give retinol a try. I’ve been using this for about a month now and my skin has genuinely never looked better. The product itself has a fairly thick consistency, but it goes on really well and feels nice on my skin. I usually let it dry down a little before putting my Clinique night mask moisturizer on top. My fine lines are less noticeable, my skin looks brighter and smoother, and when I wake up in the morning, it just looks really good. I started slowly using it every other night and have worked my way up to three nights on and one night off. So far, my skin has handled it really well. For someone who was a little nervous to start retinol, I could not be happier with the results. I would 100% recommend it.

I actually enjoyed this a lot! I was nervous because retinols are a hit or miss but this was so gentle and effective! I felt my skin was more supple and radiant when I woke up. I do struggle with texture that I don't believe can be fixed with retinol alone but it sure helps. I love using this on my off days of other actives and love the tube it comes in. It feels sturdy in the tube and I enjoy the scent isn't overpowering. I would definitely repurchase after I'm out and would recommend to anyone especially retinol beginners!
Received a trial size of this product with a Sephora order I had shipped to me. I used this as described. It caused me to have tiny red bumps and white heads all over my neck and face. I would not recommend for those with sensitive skin.
When I used this product after my shower I felt really hydrated and it lasted all day, it’s very potent so a little goes a long way! The scent is not too overwhelming and reminds me of a nice fresh smell. Definitely a product I’d use again.
Have been using this product for a few weeks and after my skin got used to the retinol, my forehead has been looking a lot more even and plump. The super thick consistency just glides on like a dream, I definitely recommend.
I’ve been using this product for a few weeks and I have noticed my skin to be rejuvenated , firmer, more supple and brighter. My skin feels much softer and is noticeably healthier. The balm is gentle on my sensitive skin and has not caused redness or irritation. I’m excited to continue using it and seeing even better results. Highly recommend !
Texture is so smooth and hydrated on my skin. I don’t feel the dryness. My skin get really improved from then. One thing is dont forget to wear sunscreen, it is essential
I had my husband test out Youth to the People’s Retinol Superfood Protein Balm since retinol is a no-go while I’m pregnant. He’s been using it before bed, and it’s super hydrating without feeling gross or greasy on his face. After a few days, his skin actually looks way smoother and much fresher. He’s officially a fan, and I’m definitely stealing it back once I can use it again!
It is very hydrating and smooth. Otherwise it cause me some acne, a really bad pimple. But if you don't have acne tendency, this would work great for you.
