Micellar Cleansing Mist Liquid to Powder Dry Shampoo

I really wanted to like this as a non aerosol dry shampoo and because all of Kenra’s other products I love, however this did barely anything for my hair. I have naturally oily hair and I tried this twice between washes and both times my hair was very still oily afterwards, it also leaves your hair wet, so at that point it’s just better to wash it. I did give it one star because the smell is nice and it does leave your hair smelling fresh afterwards.

This is one of the truly unique products that I’ve tried in quite some time. For reference, I started using dry shampoo before it existed (hellllllo baby powder, don’t miss those days!) so I feel it’s fair to say I’ve tried numerous types and have an opinion about them all. The Kenra micellar liquid to powder spray is different from anything I’ve tried… and I love it! My hair honestly feels cleaner once the liquid dries, yet there’s no lingering powder or residue. I don’t know what voodoo this is, but I like it!!

I have thin, straight, dark hair that gets oily quickly, and this mist refreshed my roots without making them feel heavy or gritty. The liquid-to-powder formula is easy to apply exactly where I need it, absorbs oil well, and doesn’t leave an obvious white cast or powdery residue. It also gives my hair a little extra volume and helps extend my style between washes. I would definitely recommend it!

My experience with the Kenra micellar cleansing mist liquid was my first time using any type of dry shampoo. I've had my hair in braids with wavy hair extensions added for about three weeks so it was the perfect time for a refresh. I like that you can see the micellar water and the powder separated in the bottle and shake it up to combine them. I enjoy the light powdery scent of the product and after spraying my hair and brushing it, I instantly felt the oils being absorbed. The only downside is that it left a slightly ashy cast on my hair but I was able to lightly dampen it and brush it to fix that.

I’ve been really enjoying the Kenra Platinum Micellar Cleansing Mist! I was curious about it because it’s a liquid mist that turns into a powder, which is different from the dry shampoos I normally use. It’s really easy to apply and I like that I can spray it directly onto my roots without feeling like I’m getting product everywhere. I was so excited to try this dry shampoo - Kenra is really leading the charge on innovating new types of hair products for those who don't have something that works for them! It's not drying like some aerosols can be and the micellar water base refreshes hair without weighing it down. I prefer using it when I have time to blow dry my roots with cool air (as directed) since my hair is thick and water brings my curl back at the roots. When I hit it with a blast of cool air it prevented that from happening. For my hair, it doesn't beat others I use but I could see this being a favorite for those with thin or flat hair that is weighed down easily. If my hair needs a lot of oil absorption, this doesn't do enough for me but it is a great option for post sweating or minimal oil rather than dirty hair. While it is scented, I noticed the lack of that powder smell most dry shampoos have more than a fragrance. *This product was received as a part of an educational promotion.

I am really impressed with this product! The Kenra Platinum Micellar Cleansing Mist is lightweight and feels completely different from a traditional dry shampoo. It actually goes on wet, which threw me off a little at first, but it dries incredibly quickly. Once it dries, it does a GREAT job of freeing my hair of excess oil and making it feel refreshed and clean again without having to completely wash and restyle my hair. One of my favorite things about it is what it doesn’t do. It doesn’t leave my hair feeling crusty, stiff, gritty, or weighed down like some dry shampoos can. My hair still feels like my hair afterward. And probably one of the biggest wins—NO WHITE CAST! 🙌🏼 I don’t have to worry about that powdery residue showing up in my hair. The mist is lightweight, easy to apply, dries quickly, and actually makes my hair feel refreshed rather than like I just added another layer of product on top of oily hair. BUT—one very important tip: SHAKE. IT. WELL. Received as part of an educational promotion.

I am a beauty content creator, so I've tried pretty much every product out there. And when I tell you, this is the best Dry Shampoo I've EVER tried, I am not exaggerating. I have fine, thin hair, so a lot can be heavy & cause buildup, but not this. The only time I had a white cast was when I I used waaay too much. You don't need a lot of this AT ALL!! My hair was like I freshly washed it after every use!

I have always loved this brand but I was skeptical when I first received this product, wondering how in the world a “mist” could help revive oily roots. Much to my surprise it worked amazingly well and is perfect at refreshing my hair between wash days! One of my favorite things about this product is that it’s not aerosol! It’s as simple as shaking well and misting onto roots, and a little goes a long way! The scent smells like something that you would find at a fancy salon but the price is super affordable for such a high quality product! I will definitely be replacing my current dry shampoo with this one from now on! You will not regret this purchase!
