This stuff is review worthy. It literally has no taste, I take it with all my vitamins in the morning. I suffer from constipation around the time of my period. I have a severe case endometriosis and fibroids that really do a number on my body. Since I started drinking this, my last two menstrual cycles haven’t had any constipation. My digestive system is overall working the best it ever has. Highly recommend!!! I’ve taken docusates, fibers, etc and nothing compares to this mix!

This resistant tapioca dextrin is basically cassava starch which has been enzymatically modified to make it resistant to digestive enzymes and behave like a resistant starch (RS4 - chemically modified resistant starches). The enzymes used are possibly of fungal origin (moulds), so that could be a concern. The white powder is quite fine and if it gets on the fingers makes them quite sticky! It dissolves well in water with stirring, but takes a few minutes to give a clear solution. The solution is neutral in taste, odourless, non-viscous, and is easy to take. However, the powder does not appear to dissolve so easily, quickly or completely in milk. I have been taking it for over a week but have not yet noticed any digestive benefits. I suspect that it is not as beneficial as the type of resistant starch extracted from potatoes or naturally present in green banana flour (both RS2) for intestinal butyrate production.

This works great with Bifidobacterium ProBiota, as it's only ingredient, partially hydrolized tapioca starch, searves as prebiotic for many probiotics as well as for Limonislactobacillus reuteri. So this type of fiber contributes well for gut health and for all ages, brings benefit and it desolves completely in water and juices as well.

I absolutely swear by this high-quality, organic prebiotic powder, just a small, scoop, daily, mixed in to a glass of juice or water. Great for gut health, cholesterol and overall well being. I've got friends & family swearing by it now as well. Only negative is that it got VERY popular, so on occasion, it can be tough to find (on sale). Enthusiastically recommended to all. A+++++
