Excellent quality and taste. A rare item to find in Japan. Gives smoothies and shakes a unique flavor. Will make buttermilk pancakes with it and I’m sure they’ll turn out just great. I got this as I’ve got appendicitis and another two weeks to wait until surgery. I read positive things about buttermilk providing plentiful vitamins and helping reduce inflammation and that it’s an excellent low-fat source of protein. I mix 4 tablespoons of it with water and it tastes fantastic. It’s on the sweet side, like a low-fat milk, only very refreshing. Adding mint to it makes it extra fresh and it really helps my upset stomach.

I tried to make buttermilk pancakes soon after it was delivered. It was so good and fluffy. I'm happy to get this product.
I recommend this if you only need buttermilk occasionally. When buttermilk is used aa an ingredient in recipes, I don't have to buy a full carton that would eventually go to waste. Just mix it with water, and store the remaining package in the fridge. If you to swrve it as a drink, the taste is good. Good quality.
i dont use cow milk . i find this powder is the best way to improve any panckage or cake batter when i use soy milk, almond or oat milk. i add a quater of the quantity of the alternative milk for example a quarter cup powder with a cup of milk. if im using this in a batter i like to add the powder directly to the flower mixture and not to the liquid to avoid clamps
I bought this because I don’t have access to buttermilk the taste. Ingredients quality and size is good but it’s not the best substitute. I feel like milk and lemon juice is better.
So I usually make my own buttermilk but sometimes I just don't have time. Having it in powder form is awesome because you can make it when you need it and use it for cooking too. It tastes better than I expected and it mixes with water well when you have a good electric whisk.
