SBO Probiotics, Gut Restore, 60 Capsules

Saccharomyces boulardii caps as well as soil-based probiotics can often be opened up and taken in powdered form with or without food. While it is best to take your probiotics first thing in the morning at least 30 minutes before food, if you should experience nausea take them with your meals. Also, if you are taking a soil-based probiotic for the first time it would be wise to start very, very slowly by only taking half or less of a cap for the first week & slowly work your way up to taking a full dose. This will ensure that you do not experience any die-off, gas, bloating, or distention which is fairly common when you are trying to reinoculate the gut with healthy microbes, especially if you currently suffer from gut dysbiosis. Also, Saccharomyces boulardii is a beneficial yeast, not a bacteria & while it can be taken for up to 15 months according to the literature, some say it is best to take it for about 4-6 weeks & then use another formula for a bit and then come back to it. Generally, I only use saccharomyces boulardii when trying to restore the gut for a few months or during bouts of gut dysbiosis that cause diarrhea. The combination of soil-based probiotics & beneficial yeast is also said to be one of the most gentle on the gut, especially for those with severe gut diseases like IBD but because these people, like myself, can be extremely sensitive to ALL supplements, it would be best to try each of these on their own first & without the added mushrooms. Then work up to taking a combination formula like this one. However, I am not a practitioner of any sort but did work in the nutraceutical industry for over 8 years & have a whole lot of personal experience with gut health because I have Crohn's disease or should I say, had, since I am now managing it naturally. Otherwise, this was a pretty good formula for those that have taken probiotics & mushroom extracts before. Give me a thumbs up if you found this review helpful & check out my page for others. I enjoyed this product and very much appreciate the addition of those organic, healing and selective herbs, all of which can be helpful in healing and restoring a compromised GI. A glass bottle would've made this a perfect product (and given the price point, it should be), but for those who don't know, plastic IS BREATHABLE and oxidation of the contents does occur more rapidly in comparison. I hasd an intestinal infection that went on for 4 months. 3 doctors couldn't clear it up. Gut Restore was recomended along with once daily probiotics. The problem was cleared up in less than a week. I am a true believer in Ancient Nutrition probiotics. I have continued to take these two probiotics and feel great. I will continue with both and other Ancient Nutrition supplements forever. excellent for people with a sensitive gut. It works very effectively and makes a noticeable difference in digestion. However, it needs to be used consistently and periodically to maintain the results. Skipping doses can reduce its effectiveness. When taken regularly, it really helps regulate bowel movements and significantly reduces bloating and abdominal discomfort. Overall, it’s a great option for supporting gut health.
