I chose this because the other reviews said it was a bright blue color and did not have a strong taste. I wanted to try it because I love spirulina acai bowls from Palmetto. The packaging is small but this is the best price for the amount you get and you only need a small amount per serving. I am hoping that the superfood helps with my energy level!

I bought this because I've read about some of the possible health benefits of blue spirulina. In particular it's said to have antioxidants and vitamins that promote immunity and reduce inflammation. I've had this for a few weeks and I'm loving it. It blends nicely into my smoothies, even when I add it in at the last second and just stir it with a spoon. It leaves no clumps and I cannot taste it. It would make a great natural food coloring. I will be buying this again!

The color of this spirulina is really bright and beautiful. About the taste, it does have a taste to algae, not strong but you must be careful with the quantities you add to your recipes. You don’t need much to get the blue effect so I wouldn’t add too much to avoid any strange flavor. The packaging could be improved as it’s quite an expensive product you don’t want to loose any of it, so the bag it’s not ideal but with care is manageable.

The color is very intense, I add it to smoothies and it works great, it almost has no taste. The packaging is a bit annoying though. When you open it some of the spirulina powder gets out. I would suggest keeping it in a glass jar instead.
