So far I'm still in the 6-month testing period to reduce slightly elevated cholesterol and triglycerides levels, so cannot say anything about the effectiveness yet. There are no side effects, I take it at bedtime (it is best taken in the evening). I combine this with Q10 (as ubidecarenone) from Swanson (30mg, 60 caps), which I take in the morning, noon at the latest, because it gives you a nice energy boost, so taking it in the afternoon would disrupt the sleeping rhythm. There have been many studies that use this combination, because some cholesterol-lowering drugs deplete the Q10 levels in the body.
