I find this supplement very useful. I take it in the morning when I feel anxious and it helps me improve my mood. And if I take it in the evening, it improves the quality of my sleep. I don't take it every day but just when I feel I need it. It's a very small package and handy to put in any pocket or bag even while traveling.
I can’t take medication, so antidepressants are off the table for me. This is even better anyway, it has lifted my spirits with no after effect, no messing with brain chemistry and it’s improved my sleep. I have fibromyalgia, so insomnia is part of that. So glad there’s I can find cost effective affordable alternatives with the quality I need.
As the title says, I don’t take this daily as I don’t believe it’s recommended, however this is a smaller dose so I try not to worry about it too much. I do notice that my sleep is so much better when I do take this supplement and I have had consistent sleep. The only concern I have is potentially getting serotonin syndrome, hence why I wouldn’t take this on the daily.

I tried this 5-HTP for sleep and mood support. Even though 5-HTP should, in theory, act faster in the serotonin pathway, L-Tryptophan works better for me, especially on nights when I can’t fall asleep. With tryptophan, I fall asleep more naturally and more quickly, while this 5-HTP didn’t have the same calming effect in my case. It’s still a good quality product, and I believe different people respond differently. It may work well for others — this is simply how my body reacts.
I like the size of the pill it's very small Also, 50 HTP is good for people who don't want to take a high percentage just enough to make a difference in energy and mood There is no after taste

Following the posologies are a must. But worth it! I will definitely buy again. I might try a couple more brands to have a final word but so far so good. Has no smell, kept away from humidity and heat. I couldn’t be more satisfied about this purchase. Thank you Iherb!
