TUDCA is usually made in the body from your own bile salts (made in liver/stored in gallbladder) once its processed by your microbiome. When you have a fatty liver, or sluggish bile flow or unhealthy microbiome, then you may not make as much and you would tend to poor fat tolerance. Taking TUDCA on an empty stomach helps clear out the liver. Taking it after meals helps support fat digestion. I highly recommend it to my clients, and I also feel much better than I take it myself!

Using this to support my gallbladder. I recently had a CT scan that showed some gallstones. I read this can support and help to pass gallstones so I have been taking it a long with some other liver and gallbladder support with meals. This is nasty even in capsule form so don't even think about trying to open the capsule. It's gross when the capsule just touches your tongue. But it is helping. I haven't had any gallbladder attacks since my first one right after pregnancy and no pain in that area.
