Gamma-aminobutyric acid, or GABA for short, is an amino acid that is naturally synthesized in the human brain. Chemically, it is a non-proteinogenic amino acid. In the human body, it functions as the most important inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system, which means that it slows down or blocks the transmission of nerve impulses across neurons. As its concentration in the brain increases, brain activity slows down and the body prepares for rest. Its concentration in the body decreases with age and exposure to physical and mental stress. It helps me when I have trouble sleeping.

I used to wake up in the middle of the night and had trouble falling back asleep. When I take GABA I sleep so well, 8 hours uninterrupted. This was the case from the first capsule I took. I use this with potassium to reduce the effect of flow issues. and it kinda help but not that much

I recommend this to anyone who suffers from sleep latency or just general agitation issues. Have been using it for the past year, and I really like it. Great to mix with magnesium glycinate. Recommend!
