I suspect this is a good product but then I learned that because of my kidney issues, I couldn't take it because D-Ribose is hard on the kidneys.

I highly recommend D-Ribose if you feel tired, have chronic issues or otherwise benefit from increased cell ATP production. However, only the powder form with 5000mg per portion provides sufficient nutrients, in the pill form you'd have to take many a day to take 3x5g and the price value ratio is very different in comparision.
