without a word, this is the tastiest green tea I've ever tasted. It has an extraordinary smell, and to taste it comes as matcha. The leaves are large, not shredded. I also liked the wrapping, the jar is nice and well sealed. Very good tea, rich in antioxidants and beneficial for health. The quality is really good, it's worth a try.

This Organic Green Tea, Sencha, is a decent option for those looking for an organic, everyday green tea. It has a light, refreshing flavor with subtle grassy notes, and the 3.5 oz size offers good value for the price. However, as a sencha enthusiast, I found it lacking the depth and complexity that higher-quality sencha teas typically offer. The aroma is mild, and the flavor doesn’t quite have the vibrant, umami-rich profile I was hoping for. While it’s a good choice for casual tea drinkers or those new to sencha, seasoned tea lovers might find it a bit underwhelming. It’s not the best sencha out there, but it’s a solid, organic option for a daily cup.
It's organic but brewing no more than once, otherwise no flavor at all. I can brew as much as 3 times with other green tea.
I’ve been enjoying The Tao of Tea Organic Green Tea Sencha, and it’s a really nice, light tea. The flavor is smooth and refreshing, with just the right balance of grassy and vegetal notes typical of sencha. It’s not too bitter, making it easy to drink at any time of day. I love that it’s organic and high quality, and the green tea provides a nice, gentle energy boost without the jitters. A great choice for green tea lovers looking for a fresh, clean taste!
I recently tried the organic green tea sencha, and it’s become a daily favorite. The flavor is light, smooth, and slightly grassy in the best way—very fresh without any bitterness when brewed correctly. It has a clean taste that feels authentic, and you can really tell it’s good-quality tea. I like that it gives a gentle energy boost without the crash you sometimes get from coffee. It also steeps well a few times if you don’t overbrew it the first time, which is a nice bonus. Overall, it’s a simple, high-quality green tea that’s perfect for everyday drinking, especially if you enjoy a mild and refreshing cup.
In 2026, The Tao of Tea Organic Sencha remains the "Surgical" choice for those seeking a pure, high-catechin Japanese green tea without the premium "boutique" price tag. Sourced from the Shizuoka region—the heart of Japanese tea culture—this tea is steamed rather than pan-fired, preserving the vibrant green color and the EGCG (Epigallocatechin gallate) levels necessary for an elite fat-loss protocol.
I am no expert on green tea, however for me the taste and quality are great. I've started my journey with green tea couple of months ago and slowly replacing coffee with it. This one gives me caffeine kick in the afternoon and not impacting my sleep at night. The price for this product is also very good.
A very solid, authentic Japanese-style Sencha. It has a bright, grassy flavor with a pleasant touch of astringency. It feels very fresh and energizing in the morning. If you enjoy a clean, 'green' tasting tea that isn't overwhelmed by additives, this is a great choice for daily drinking.
Absolutely in love with the taste of this tea, very yummy, I’ve bought it because it has high amount of antioxidants. Packaging was a bit annoying, I didn’t expect it to be so full, so when I opened it up I’ve lost a serving of the leaves, so just be very careful when you open it up for the first time!
This tea tastes fresh and smooth, and you can tell the leaves are good quality. One serving makes a few cups, and they all come out consistent with no weird aftertaste. Definitely one I’d buy again.
