Rutin, also known as vitamin P or rutoside (quercetin-3-rutinoside), is a bioflavonoid found in certain foods such as apples, figs, most citrus fruits, buckwheat and green tea. Like all flavonoids, it has powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. It has also been used as a medicine to strengthen blood vessel walls, improve circulation, reduce cholesterol and relieve the symptoms of arthritis.

I am not usually effusive with my comments in a product review but I'd have to say that, for me, the results of taking Rutin have been stellar. I have varicose veins in my legs which were rather pronounced and itchy but have been greatly reduced after just a week's use. I have read that, it "strengthens and increases flexibility in blood vessels, such as your arteries and capillaries", well I think that it certainly did that. And I think that it has had a positive effect on my IBS as well. Overall I am quite pleased with this suppelment.

We have been taking Rutin for years. First time now with Nutricost. Better than Aspirin and better for eyes as Aspirin can increase risk of Macular where Rutin has much lower risk, if any at all. We expect to use Nutricost all the time now, comparable quality and lower cost. Great product.

This supplement is wonderful. For a while my hemorrhoids were completely gone It did take about 6 months of taking 1 tablet morning and night.
