Andrographis Extract, 450 mg, 180 Capsules

Purchased just to have around to fight off any viral baddies. I'm sort of making a little medical stash of good things to have on hand. Trying to be a little smarter and it doesn't hurt being at least a little prepared. I've used this already and it seems alright. *Some thoughts on the brand: I would like to see more organic products as well as info on the extraction process/method/solvents being used which would be a very nice thing for the consumer to know because it shines a light on the quality of the product. The brand clearly aims for affordability but typically corners need to be cut somewhere for that to happen, and a product of not so high quality is a possibility here. So just something to keep in mind :) The fillers in most of their products are also a bit of a downer, and could do without. Please 👍 if you found this helpful! 🌼 **Update: I did give them a call and even though the representative was very sweet, they do not disclose the source of their ingredients... which does lean towards supporting my earlier point... "a product of not so high quality is a possibility here." Do what you will with that information... but that is a red flag in my book, and I sadly have to take another star off for that.

I always keep a bottle of Andrographis in my cabinet. This along with D3, vit c, echinacea are my cold, flu and cough arsenal. I only take it when I start to feel the cold/flu symptom is coming (scratchy throat, coughing, sneezing, itching nose) and I will not exceed 7 days in a row. I find myself dealing with shorter duration of being symptomatic after taking andrographis.

If, I catch it the first symptoms of cold and start taking it right away. The cold will never progress into anything serious. If I miss first signs, then it drastically reduces the duration of the illness and eliminates the lingering cough completely. However, I'm the only one in the family who has benefited from the medication. My daughter have experienced no tangible effect from Andrographis. So, I suggest to try and see if it works for you.

it's a great herb but very bitter so i'm happy to take it in capsules; i also have a powdered form but i don't like the taste... the price is low so thank you nutricost

Love this product, taking 2 every morning as feeling a bit under the weather seems to be keeping it at bay along with Oil of Oregano.

When feeling a bit sick, this is a good one to add to your remedy box. Helps get over things quicker. I take many things, this is just one of my tools.

This is one of very few andrographis extract with quantified "andrographolide", the key component in many preclinical and clinical studies. This is very helpful in dosing. The price is also reasonable.

These are capsules, I tried to be smart once and take it out of the capsule and mix with water - big regret, so bitter! In capsule it has no taste, the pill is large size but it is alright to swallow. I use it to help EBV flares and decrease viral load.

High concentration in the daily dosage. Herb has saved me several times when I've started to catch the flue. It's a very good stimulant for the immune system, very strong.
