When you first open it, a truly horrifying smell comes out. Like leftover gaseous plastic from its manufacture, or something. Once you give it a good wash, this is actually an excellent pill crusher.
The concept of this crusher is sound but it did not crush the tablet. It would jump the thread while screwing it down while attempting to crush the tablet. I had to lean down onto the crusher which isn't a great idea if you have painful wrists. I'd call it a fail. It was quicker to use two spoons or a small mortar and pestle.
A good product for example travelling purposes. I would recommend.

The pill crusher is very easy to use. I have been using it daily to crush the large pills I have trouble swallowing.
My family member has difficulty swallowing, the pills must be broken into pieces. However this tool is not effective to crush the tablet into pieces. Also the tool has bad scent. I won’t recommend it.
