I have struggled a bit with using these egg white powder as an egg replacement. Then I followed another brand instructions and they worked perfectly. I add 10 grams of powder and 10 grams of water and mix until a smooth paste forms, only then I add more water. They do not leave any egg aftertaste.
I bought this one to test. Taste is good and pleasant, kinda salty and sticky in composition when wet. Looks like a decent quality product. Maybe better to put it into a soup or something instead of a berry smoothie. I don’t think berries will mix well in taste with this one. Whey proteins tastes better to me with fruit/berries in a smoothie. Comparing cost of this protein and cost of ingredients (eggs) it’s not looking good. I bought this protein heavily discounted with free delivery and 0% import taxand yet in our market I’d be better off using raw eggs from supermarket. Eggs would be 20% cheaper. And I don’t count egg yolk though it has lots of cholesterol, still can be used to feed pets like dogs or if one doesn’t care about lots of cholesterol. Anyway, product is ok. A bit harder to mix due to stickiness when it get in contact with liquid.
I do watch the Steak and Butter Gal (Carnivore) I'm actually more Keto but the bread recipe she put out looks amazing. I chose Nutricost because I've been very happy with the quality of their products over the years. While egg white protein has dramatically gone up in price over the past couple years I was happy to see that Nutricost's price was a bit more reasonable on basic egg white protein it tastes like every other egg white protein I've ever had. it is a good size for price.
Bought this to try to make carnivore tortillas 😂 it worked kinda I think the press I used was the problem. The point is that it’s doable and you can miss the carbs with this substitution
Egg whites are one of my favorite ways to reach my protein needs. One serving gives 15 gram of protein. Nutricost egg white protein mixes well and you can it in to recipes too. It is unflavored so you can be creative with what you mix with it. I also love that it doesn't get clumpy.
Love how it creates a creamy thick texture in my smoothies! Totally odorless and pretty easy to use in any recipe that requires egg whites.
I like the texture of this product and how filling it is. I find that 1/2 scoop will be enough for hunger and in a shake. Takes a while to dissolve though so have to make my shake well in advance. But does do well in a yogurt and blends pretty fast. Will order again
I saw other reviews about eggy taste and odor, but I found it to be quite mild. I'm adding this egg white protein to my morning protein smoothie and it blends in seamlessly - no eggy taste or smell. And I immediately noticed I wasn't hungry at least an 1-2 hours longer when I began adding this to my smoothie. Definitely ordering again!
This egg white protein is a quality product. It has clean ingredients ( egg whites) and no fat which is nice for a protein powder. It adds 15 grams of protein to smoothies, oatmeal, etc with no taste. It is a little on the spendy side but when you just want a protein boost without have to use fresh eggs, this is great.
This works just as well as any other egg white powder I have tried before. I typically use it in baked goods. It cooks up well and the price is pretty decent considering the amount you get. I'd buy it again.
