It's a natural, transparent gel type. I thought the papaya scent would give it a tropical, refreshing feel perfect for summer, but adding a little water creates a gentle lather for washing your face. It had a nice, subtle peach scent. After rinsing and wiping, my skin felt smooth. It's a generous 177ml size, and I was glad I got it at a discount.
