Organic Whey Protein, Chocolate PB, 2 lb (907 g)

This chocolate whey protein powder is delicious. I’m 66 and lift weights at the gym. I’ve noticed that I’ve been building more muscle since starting this product. It makes a yummy morning breakfast shake with almond milk and a banana. I’ll continue to buy this on iHerb.

I bought it because the ingredients are organic, but isn't it too sweet so I find myself reaching for it easily?

I ordered Certified Organic Whey Protein powder for my husband, which he enjoyed and has asked me to order again, as he enjoyed the taste and likes the idea of clean, safe ingredients, and it was a good price compared to similar quality products on the market. We love using certified organic products and I will be ordering again.

I tried changing the existing protein because I heard it contains a lot of antibiotics. I thought it would be natural to do that in order to match the unit price, so I tried this expensive one for the first time, but it tastes cleaner and is easier on the stomach.

The quality is great, and I love that it’s organic—but the peanut butter chocolate flavor is extremely sweet. So sweet that it becomes almost sickening. For the suggested portion (1 provided scoop), you’d need something like 600–700g of porridge or a 2-liter smoothie just to tone it down. It’s honestly way over the top. I’d give it 2 stars, because I’m not even sure I’ll be able to finish the whole thing. That said, I know taste is subjective.
