large bottle. goes a very long way. be careful not to overdose on zinc which competes with copper profile. this is a good zinc profile. very effective when a virus and immunity attack is coming on. 23mg is a big dose so we usually cut in half and start with that per hour. usually in 1 hour the virus is subdued. good flavour. best kept under tongue as it will burn the tongue if kept on top of tongue. for children we cut the tablet into 4 and start with 1 quarter. it is very effective for colds and immunity. it is also very good for skin issues. highly recommended excellent product for the price point and it works very well.
Unlike many other zinc lozenges on iherb that I saw, this product doesn't include the ingredients that would partially deactivate zinc and make it ineffective. Ascorbic acid is known to do so, but here it is present in the form that is already bound to zinc. Also great taste and perfect dose size for the cold mitigation protocol (multiple lozenges a day, one every few hours, once you got the cold symptoms).
After a ridiculous amount of research I found that the types of zinc (ingredients) to use as a cold shortener are always lozenges...especially zinc acetate and zinc gluconate. We take zinc a lot these months. My hubby took all winter, everyday, 30, 50 mg of zinc (bought from iHerb, of course) and he didn't catch a cold all this time! I didn't folIow his protocol because I have a lot of other medicines to take so I have a cought these whole month. I saw this kind of pills with zinc, I know Source Naturals and I hope it will be a good change from pills to take with water to pills with a good taste. I only hope these pills will not have a bad taste like the GABA ones from the same brand! I couldn't eat or swallow those, and I really tried! I'm back with updates! Today the package arrived, I was totaly happy and excited to first try the zinc lozenges, but, boy, those are horrible! Sorry to the brand, Source naturals, but the taste and the after taste are bad! At F first glance, the lozenges are nice, round, pink, a little too big, but I thought I manage this because I don't have to swallow them, but dissolve them in mouth... But the taste was horrible. Nice at first, with a raspberry flavour and smell, but then it became like chalk, then it started to sting my tongue. I must stop and cut it in half and try to take it with water... Not good at all! I had the same bad experience with the GABA lozenges from this brand, but I thought it was just one time, one bad bottle, or just me... I recomanded the GABA lozenges to a close gilfriend, much younger, and she experienced the same... My hubby said he couldn't dissolve or swallow the lozenges. It wasn't just me. So sorry, but I don't know why the bad taste for these lozenges. Hope the brand will change that aspect. Well, I must deal with 240 lozenges (I bought 2 bottles x 120 lozenges) and I don't know how... I made a photo with the zinc lozenge and a Leaky gut capsule (normal size capsule).
My dosage 3/4 times a day, quality, size is good, just need to let dissolve in mouth, taste not bad My benefit is helps shorten or eliminate cold fast. I go with Iherb because of good ingredients.
This is a product we've been using for years but from a different, very large and well-known company. We were tired of the zinc lozenges arriving so beat up that most of them were reduced to powder. So we decided to try ordering the exact same product from iHerb and are so glad we did. The lozenges are in great condition, making it obvious that iHerb cares about the quality of their products.
