I have tried a few matcha brands from the West & they mostly disappoint me. Micro Ingredients ceremonial grade matcha is truly stone ground, it’s as fine & silky smooth as Marukyu Koyamaen matcha. Fresh seaweed scent, vegetal notes, a hint of bitter aftertaste but nothing unpleasant. Here’s a comparison of freshly opened Micro Ingredients ceremonial grade matcha alongside Marukyu Koyamaen kinrin & a low quality Lebanese brand matcha, Nabat. Also a picture of the effortless microfoam I achieved from Micro Ingredients matcha. The pictures speaks for itself. I’d be repurchasing again.

This matcha is really good!! Didn’t know what to expect but it tastes amazing and doesn’t have clumps when you blend it! The color is a vibrant green and the price is good for 100g💚

Disappointing this is not ceremonial grade matcha. The color is pale and dull compared to authentic Japanese matcha, and the bitterness is strong even when diluted. I bought this as a cheaper alternative for matcha lattes, but even with ice and oat milk the gap from real Japanese matcha is very noticeable. Not worth the money

Good quality, great taste and the size of the package is bigger than most ceremonial grade matcha teas (100g vs the usual 50g). I consider myself a matcha snob so just know I’ve tried many brands and this one definitely makes the cut.

Little bit chunky for my liking but that’s okay. I like that it’s ceremonial grade and organic. Lead label a bit scary too

quality is really good. it's not as bright green, but it's still a very nice green and the taste is really good. the use quite simple, you get a scoop inside. plus the only ingredient is matcha. the size is really good, for me, it would last about a month worth.

This review is to compare with the culinary grade from Microingredients. I'd been buying the culinary grade for years and got curious about their ceremonial grade. The ceremonial grade: more vibrant green, more clumpy (not easily dissolvable), slightly more bitter, supposedly more L-theanin, more expensive The culinary grade: easily dissolvable, milder taste, more affordable price point, still good quality overall Next time, I will buy their culinary grade
