These high quality lentils had a nice taste and texture tasty in soup as the lentils stayed nice and didn't get mushy. Will look to buy these again.
These are my favourite lentils! I make dal by mixing half red lentils and half of these. The texture is great, and it adds more fiber (red lentils are shelled)
These lentils taste better than green lentils, but black lentils taste much better than French lentils.
I like all lentils, will try to make wrap from it. Green lentil turned out really good!
These small lentils are tasty and great for salads and rice bowls.
Shiloh Farms OrganicFrench Lentils excellent quality , never any rocks, stones. Highly recommend Shiloh Farms brand for lentils, I regularly use French , Green and Black lentils varieties. They also meet Ca Prob 65 standards , the brow lentils do not .
A new bag of Lentils should have a longer expiration date. The expiration date is 11/26. I would not choose a bag of lentils with this expiration date if I purchased them in a store.
These have a depth of flavor that really takes a lentil dish up a notch, especially if you cook them in a nice broth.
So I’ve never been good at making soups but the one time I did, using Shiloh Farms’ organic French lentils, it came out quite yummy. One pot of soup lasts a very long time when you’re single so what to do with the rest of the lentils was resolved soon thereafter. I cooked the rest of the lentils in the rice cooker with organic brown rice and it too was delicious! Now I rarely make plain brown rice anymore; I always add a cup of these delicious lentils to enhance the texture and flavor.
