I only eat organic grains and it is difficult to find organic barley that is not pearled. This barley cooks up chewy and tastes delicious for breakfast or in mushroom barley soup.
This is a difficult item to find. Product cooks up nicely and is very tasty. Good if you like whole grains
This barley is my favorite because it is less processed than others and its delicious. I use it for salads in the summer and soups in the winter. I usually let it soak for a few hours or overnight, then cook it. It takes a while to cookI cook up a batch and freeze it in 1 or 2 cup sizes. When I need it, it's ready to use...a cook book called this a "grain bank".
Shiloh Farms is a trusted brand. It is one of the few places that I can find Organic Hulless Barley. Their customer service is top notch too. I contacted them once, and they responded right away.
