I purchased this for my father who wanted to lower his cholesterol: 1- Total cholesterol dropped from 249 mg/dl to 219 mg/dl in one month. In the second month, it was around that as well, 215 mg/dl (total) and 125 mg/dl (LDL). 2- Even his all-time low total cholesterol was 233 mg/dl (prior to taking the product), so the product definitely had an effect.
Used in conjunction with Ubiquinol Red Yeast has been found to aid in lowering cholesterol levels (I am not a Dr.). This has certainly helped me stay off statins over the past 12 months.
