This is great both as a coffee alternative and for making your own New Orleans coffee blend. I have no aversion to caffeine, but enjoy it when I feel like something different from coffee or tea. I find it works well with a French press. Very flavorful, even long after opening. The quality is excellent, as I have come to expect from Frontier.
1/4 tsp chicory granules 2 tsp Dandy Blend 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream stevia 16 ounces hot water I do like to add salt to enhance the flavor. I recently tried the now foods stevia drops, English toffee and peppermint being my favorites! It's an excellent coffee alternative =)
I don’t know a better cicory root. I love cicory since I can’t drink coffee it’s my morning drink now. Also it’s super healthy for you. And it’s not one of those “Nescafé” kind of cicory That you buy in supermarkets. It’s a proper roasted root. And that says it all.

I bought this as a caffeine-free coffee substitute, and while it doesn't taste exactly like coffee, it's a fantastic alternative. It has a rich, earthy, and slightly nutty flavor that I've really come to enjoy in the evenings. I brew it just like French press coffee, and it gives me that same comforting ritual without keeping me up all night. It's also surprisingly affordable for such a large, high-quality bag.
I like to add this to my ground coffee, because of the flavor, and also so I won't be drinking so much coffee. Tastes great!

There's a LOT more in the package than it seems. I've had this bag for a long while, and it still tastes fresh (I can only handle a little of it on savory foods; the flavor is very strong). I also put it on my dog's food, and when I do, he goes nuts. He loves this stuff!
