Organic Cut & Sifted Yerba Mate Leaf, 16 oz (453 g)

It is a good mate, milder kind. The only minus with it is the high price, hence 4 stars, not 5. I have drank yerba mate over 10 years and it rarely happens that two brands produce mate that tastes the same. But in this case, the mate tastes exactly as those that I have seen in food supermarkets (one certain mate has been packaged by different companies) and also, I can buy the same tasting mate from a local tea shop too, 12 Euros for 500g, they just call it "Brazilian" without any specifics (while the mate in Brazil is actually a ground powder, not pieces of leaves like this one which is the Argentinian type). It is a good mate anyway but I am suspicious, how can this one taste so similar to all those others, much cheaper. The iHerb page of this mate mentions "Llex Paeaguariensis" while the plant is actually "Ilex paraguariensis" (capital i at the beginning) -- look like just typos.

This is my first time trying this tea after reading many reviews. The taste is a bit earthy. I take a scoop and boil it—the dosage is just right. The benefits are that it boosts my energy—I no longer feel lethargic—and it has anti-inflammatory properties. The packaging and quality are good. Thanks, iHerb!

I enjoy tea time! The tea packaging is excellent, I do reseal with my meal sealer to keep it in the same packaging. The tea leaves are fresh and I use these leaves in my French press.
