I grind many spices for my baked goods. I used to use full pods, but the cardamom isn’t as potent. I tried crushing the pods to get the seeds out, but that is too time consuming. These decorticated seeds are the answer. Super fresh, high quality, and when freshly ground, they make baked goods the best ever!
I love cardamom and use it is baking and chai teas. I watched a video on making chai tea with it and decided to try this product. I gently grind the seeds with a coffee grinder or mortar and pestle and put a teaspoon or two in water and simmer it for 15 minutes or so, then I add a decaf English Breakfast tea bag, a little milk and honey and have a delicious cup of chai tea! I also grind it and use it in a soda bread, oh my word! Delicious!

These are delicious. They seem fresh and flavorful. I add these cardamom seeds to loose-leaf masala chai, and it adds a really nice cardamom-y flavor to what's already in the tea mix. One bag of the cardamom lasts about a month.
Good quality product. Comes in a stay fresh bag. That being said it costs double the price of the local Indian/pakistani stores. Customer service is amazing though. They refunded me without any hassle. İherb will always be my go to online store for almost everything
Herbs and spices from Frontier are generally fresh, good quality and not dusty. I like buying decorticated cardamom because it is convenient and since it's sold by weight, you get more actual spice in the bag. I mainly use it for chai. It would be cool if they upgraded to resealable packaging.
I make batches of chai and use cardamom seed, cracking open the shells. Getting the whole decorticated seed has saved me a lot of work, and the quality is excellent.
Those Seed smells amazing. I add it in my coffee during brewing.
