I love that this is bottled in glass and has no BPA exposure! One ingredient: Organic strained tomatoes. This is very versatile. Soups, bloody Mary drinks, sauces--and not just pizza or marinara, but for Indian masalas as well. It is a great base and liquidy enough to drink as a thick tomato juice if desired--add a bit of salt, cayenne and lemon or water to thin it a bit. I have stopped buying jarred sauces since I've found this. Many jarred sauces--although bottled in glass--contain tomato puree or chopped tomatoes that had previously been canned in BPA-lined cans. The tomatoes in this product have not been previously canned. This is still the tomato product I use most...this and their paste...because of its purity, good taste and value. Recently, I have found two other brands of glass jarred tomato purees. One did have a better taste and thicker chunkier texture, but was significantly more pricey. Great to see BPA-free tomato sources increasing. Bionature's organic strained tomatoes are very smooth and consistent in texture. And don't miss that they are ORGANIC.

I've been using these strained tomatoes for years and will continue to but will not be buying them from iHerb in the future unless something changes. The issue is packaging. I ordered 6 of these in one order which is a case typically but they came individually packed in bubble wrap and sealed outer layer of plastic! Each. There were other jars in my order and same for those. SO much plastic - safe for the jar, terrible for our planet! I used to not buy much food from iHerb so I did not know what this would look like and given that it looks terrible and is harmful, I will go back to Thrive Market for all my jars as they pack smart (need less padding) and the padding they use is ZERO plastic. iHerb, please do better for the sake of all of us.
I have used these strained tomatoes many times for all kinds of things but mostly for soups. Please know that it is not tomato sauce and not thick. It is nice that it does not have salt, that is important to me. Great tasty tomatoes.

There are so many things I use this for. SO great for instant soup. Add some vegan milk and make cream of tomato soup for instant. Need water and seasoning YUM
