Being a naturopath/plant base person I use a lot of spices and herbs in my kitchen. After reading the ingredients of this one I was curious to try it, confident in Simply Organic brand. I really like it. I haven't tried other brands yet, neither the "authentic" version (which traditionally includes thyme, basil, rosemary, tarragon, marjoram, oregano, and bay leaf, and NOT lavender) but I'm happy with smell and taste of this one. This mix adds a pleasant aroma and a little twist to any dish. It's good for fresh salads (I love it mixed it with dukkah in my black rice and veggies salads or on avo on toast) and for hot dishes (goes very well on top steamed cauliflowers, or added on soups during cooking). For some people the texture can be slightly big for salads or added to dishes after cooking and it may require to grind the herbs (I don't have this problem). I hope this comment was helpful. This is a good mix to use for a variety of dishes. One thing to mention is that it's best to crush up the spices before adding since there will be some rosemary needles that you would want to be smaller. All brands are like this- it's not a flaw.

herbs just truly upgeades my meals, especilly when its organic. its a really high quality ingredient to have in my kitchen, and I love adding it to my pizza. the taste is really nice, but is not for everyone so keep that in mind. the package size is great too.
