I've been buying this for many years. It's a smooth very fine powder. Can be added to liquid or even add to dog food or chicken feed.
I like this product , easy to mix. I followed the recipe of a very experienced youtube furniture flipper and the outcome is very good. The recipe is to mix one part of the calcium carbonate to 2 parts of flat water base paint.

I decided to give up my nightly half Tums a couple of hours before bedtime and replaced it with this product (but always with food ... very important). While calcium citrate doesn't work on calming tummy acid which I prefer prior to bedtime, calcium carbonate does. Was a bit concerned when I read that calcium carbonate may not dissolve well in water, so some places recommend mixing it into an acidic juice like orange juice. But I had no problem using plain water. I just put a level 1/4 teaspoon (my late day dose) into a small amount of water and mix before eating, letting it sit during my meal. Then I mix it well again after the meal and drank quickly. Oh ... and sometimes I like to top it off with a small piece of fruit just so that's the taste that lingers. :)

We buy this to make teeth powder for brushing teeth instead of using toothpaste. Calcium carbonate, bentonite clay, xylitol and a bit of sea salt. Add some essential oil if desired. It feels cleaner than toothpaste.
I use this powder because its very fine, to use in hand made toothpaste so it doesn't damage the enamel. Its a great size for the price and one bottle will last me a long time in my toothpaste making.
