This has become my favorite solution for covering grays without harsh chemicals! The 4N Chestnut gives me rich, dimensional color that looks completely natural - not flat or artificial like some drugstore brands. I appreciate that it's free from ammonia, parabens, and other irritating ingredients that would upset my sensitive scalp. The gel formula is easy to mix and apply evenly, even on my thick hair. While it doesn't last quite as long as conventional dyes (about 4 weeks for me), the trade-off for gentler ingredients is worth it. The color develops beautifully and leaves my hair surprisingly soft.

Herbatint hair color comes with a great conditioner that moisturizes the hair well after it’s being colored and conditioned. The Chestnut does a good job, the package size is right for shoulder length hair and the quality is great, no harsh ingredients. It can be used on a regular basis.

The dye has a nice gel texture that doesn’t leak. It doesn’t have an unpleasant smell, like most of hair dyes. It doesn’t dry your hair (I applied it only to my roots), and covers grey hair perfectly. The colour turns out as expected. I’m definitely gonna order more.

I liked it on my dry hair and it is going well on my sensitive scalp free one week after coloring. A bit watery but really easy to use and good color according to the description and how it looks after other colors. So far I enjoy the quality and the size.

I tried this hair colour for the first time and I’m really happy with the results! The shade turned out just as shown on the box — rich and even from root to tip. The formula didn’t have a strong chemical smell and my hair felt surprisingly soft afterward. It was also quite easy to apply on my own. This Herbatint 4N Chestnut color is a nice dark brown with a bit of red undertone. I used it to cover red color and it created a nice amber glow. It lasts quite well, for a couple of months. I wash my hair daily and did not notice any brassiness for around 6 weeks. With that said, I did have the red tone underneath, so the Chestnut may not be to blame for that. Make sure to work quickly when applying, otherwise if you start at the roots you might get 'root flare' where the top few inches are lighter and redder than the rest. As this color does not fade out, there is of course visible regrowth. The re-dying after 2 months worked well too and did not leave any demarcation. There is no chemical smell, and apart from the perfumed conditioner included in the box, it's fine for scent-sensitive people. I did not have any skin irritation with this product, though I did with other Herbatint colors. Completely covered white hairs!
