I love the Tao of Tea products and this green tea is amazing! It's the tea that is used to make Moroccan mint tea, which I love! Buying it loose also makes a huge difference to the price as, using only 1 teaspoon, 4oz of green tea (or 115g) goes a LONG way! Especially as each teaspoon of the loose tea can be infused 2-3 times. That is a lot of cups of green tea!
This tea is very special and of highest quality. Kills the free radicals and taste fantastic if you make it right. Do not exceed 175 degrees water heat or it will become bitter tasting. Wet the leaves with a tad bit of water and gently swirl a few seconds before pouring in the full cup. Steep covered for no more than 3 minutes depending on your taste. One teaspoon can be re-brewed up to 2 more times. The patience and respect it takes to make this tea will reap great health benefits to those that appreciate it.

Gunpowder tea is used to make authentic Moroccan mint tea. This product is great! You swish the leaves with a cup of hot water first and dispose the water - this removes the bitterness. Then you add hot water, fresh mint leaves and sugar or honey to taste

There's a debate about whether loose or bagged tea is better - I have no idea but this is loose. It has a mild flavor and a pleasant aroma. Gunpowder apparently describes how the leaves are rolled and has no effect on taste. I assume the caffeine content is low to moderate; I do not feel wired after even two cups. The packaging is excellent with a cap and sealed interior chamber.
High quality tea as expected from this brand. I get where the “gunpowder” name comes from as this has a very mild hint of almost metallic yet pleasant tasting note, if you want to try a unique green tea this is a really nice option. I love to blend this with a bit of chamomile flowers and vanilla beans, they compliment the unique flavour of this tea so so well and it’s such a delicious blend!

This team comes in great packaging that keeps it fresh. Taste is smooth and satisfying. Tea has great health benefits and this is very reasonably priced
