I am a long time gout sufferer and I am searching for the best natural combination. Cherries are now on top of my list as a natural remedy because they work briliantly. Tart cherries are better but double the price. Black cherries do the trick as well. I take one tablespoon between each meal for maintenence and triple the dose during an attack. It does very little to lower the serum uric acid levels in my experience but helps with the overall inflammation during maintenence and pain during an atttack brialiantly. I started using iHerb to be my own doctor and overwhelm my health issues instead of being overwhelmed by them. I continue to use this on a daily basis to reduce uric acid and manage or put off gout attacks. I use it as part of a broader program of eating correctly, avoiding high purine foods and fructose, avoiding alcohol and drinking plenty of water....I assume this supplement is playing its part....though my uric acid levels remain stubbornly high...but no gout attacks.
