Bought for sig. other to wash his hair occasionally. Normally he uses the pine tar soap by same brand which works amazingly well to eliminate his dandruff, but he has thick hair so the shampoo is good on the occasions when his hair gets a little greasy (soap is too mild and doesn't degrease the way shampoos do). He seems happy with it.
I don’t like the scent, it’s unpleasantly strong.
For many years I used a different brand for my psoriasis but recently they changed their formula so it was no longer working for my condition. I did some research and found the Grandpa Soap company products. They use the original Pine Tar which is more effective. I will no longer purchase any other brand.
Very earthy scent, smells like campfire. It's great to use for dry itchy scalp. Leaves my hair feeling very clean.
scent is great--not like perfume. i have sensitive skin and it feels good. i use it every time i wash hair, not drying. great for scalp, gentle. ingredients/composition safe. decent size for the price but too much plastic in package lid. also lid leaks so i have to remember to store with lid up even though it's made to stand on lid.
This shampoo is scalp therapy. I helps to clean and moisture my dry scalp and hair. I have a sensitive scalp with alopecia and psoriasis, I try many shampoo, but this shampoo helps my scalp problem. The scent is pine tar, and the quality is good.
I tried this on my daughter’s hair. It made her hair beautiful. But the smell lingered way too long. I even made an essential oil spray with Purification oil and water. It did help but the campfire smell was still there 6 days later. So yesterday I did another experiment- I only used a little of the tar soap on her scalp and then put tea tree and neem shampoos on top. I tried the same experiment on myself. I think the campfire 🔥 scent is way less. Today we can probably use the Purification spray successfully 😂

Great shampoo for a sensitive scalp. Great smell, no sls and harsh chemicals. Need to be used with conditioner though as it dries hair a tiny bit. Will buy again
