Very dark green in color with a smooth, powdery consistency. Smells like henna. I'm always cautious when trying new supplements so I only added 1/4 tsp. to a smoothie and unfortunately broke out in small, itchy hives a few hours later. I haven't taken it since; bummed out because I felt really good with increased energy and less of an appetite. Everyone acts differently and I believe this is a high quality product so it may work for you.
