I am almost totally gray. I use this henna in the lotion form. In order to keep my natural hair color which was medium brown with reddish highlights. Now, I apply dark brown, light brown, and golden brown. I get constant compliments. What I do is I apply the three colors. Darkest at the top of my head and around my face. Then light brown over it. Then I add golden brown as highlights. I apply to unwashed hair and use two vegetable bags to cover my hair and tie them in the back. I leave it on for three hours. Clean the house, etc. and then I wash the henna off with shampoo and conditioner. I find a bottle lasts two to three applications. The end result is shining, soft, conditioned and colored hair. My hair grows fast so I henna every 3 weeks. No harmful chemicals, dry hair or split ends for this woman!

I love Henna hair colour. Because for me i cannot use hair colours with peroxide or ammonia, i normally buy the red and golden brown and mix the two together to get a more reddish brown or copper tones. However lately i have been just using tge golden brown and it fine as my original hair colour was red but as i got older it's more light brown. So i find the golden brown perfect for me.

I've used a variety of home hair color products and this is the best. It is gentle on my hair and the color is clean and holds despite it being a "temporary" color. An added bonus is that I don't use the entire bottle but can save the contents to use a second time by following directions in the package. I love that! I used to buy the dark brown to match my hair color but the result was more like black. The golden brown creates the dark brown I wanted. It will fade after 2 weeks to be golden but that happens with the dark brown also... This is not a permanent color and requires dyeing every 2 weeks but that's what my roots also require. I use this hair cream for many years. It does not harm my hair, it is very simple to use and creates a natural looking color. Note that gloves and hair cover is not supplied any more.

I love how easy it is to use this product. The tint doesn’t last forever on the hair but it does deliver a very good coverage over grey hair. On the first day it looks super pigmented and then washes off with time. It does leave some stains on the towel.
