Not gritty at all like some other products which taste like dirt. I just put half teaspoon in my mouth and let it dissolve, swoosh it around for a minute so the saliva can start breaking down the nitrates....will see if this helps over time to keep my BP down......
I recently began using this for lowering my BP. i have been purchasing a lot from Pure Synergy because of their reputation and clean products. The taste of this is sweet, so it can be added to not only water, smoothies or juice, but also to yogurt and possibly in baking. But beware of two things: Just like beets, it stains. And watch out for the large moisture-obsorbing packets inside the bottle - they are difficult to remove!
