i got this a safe heat protectant. i was using tresamme before. i can confidently say that the scent is just as powerful ( which i was trying to honestly avoid ). however it does seem to perform well and keep my hair soft. for reference i have curly, fine hair. i use a a dollop for all my hair. if you add more it will be a little tacky. but all in all my hair smells nice and the scent is not strong after it dries
