It's a good alternative to Jarrow's Broccomax. It has the necessary myrosinase enzyme to produce sulforaphane when reacting with Glucoraphanin. The difference is that Broccomax uses delayed release DRcaps while this does not. I'm not fond of delayed release or digestion resisant caps unless I need to take it on a truly empty stomach, so I alternate between Broccomax and this Solaray equivalent especially so I can take it with or close to food. BTW I've read that can also get sulforaphane from cooked brocolli by sprinkling or eating it with mustard seeds which has the myrosinase enzyme. But this has yet to be tested to quantify how much cooked brocolli with how much mustard seeds will yield how much sulforaphane
