Betaine HCL, 250 Capsules

My Gastrologist diagnosed me with Gastritis from high stomach acid, after an Endoscopy. But you can also get Gastritis from low stomach acid as the symptoms are the same. He put me on 40 mg famotidine at night and 20 mg rabproxole 2x a day , maximum doses, and they made things a lot worse. Also I always failed the home baking soda test that you can look up, indicating I have low stomach acid, not high. And he refused to test for stomach acid levels, as they can, and it should be the first test before an Endoscopy IMO. Now, I just take one of these with each meal and my stomach is fine, as it raises stomach acid to digest the food and my stomach didn’t burn indicating low stomach acid. YMMV

i like the amount of 250 pills and the price is pretty good. i believe this brand is pretty high quality and pills size isn't too big. dosage is as good as it gets. i suffer from a bad case of indigestion and horrible gas, or at least i used to. i kept using this brand and other good brands as long as i have access to betaine HCL I'll be alright. i can eat big meals like i used to and i managed to increase my weight and i feel more energetic since i do eat more food now. i was diagnosed with IBS and my biggest symptom is indigestion and i wasn't able to eat much. betaine HCl was my biggest help so far!

This one is the second cheapest Betain HCl on the site at the moment (the first one is the Betaine HCl & Pepsin from Nutricost). They work the same. They're both effective!

i am totally depended on betaine hcl to be able to eat ...i have diferent types for different meals and situations. This form actually has very little pepsin ( although it looks a lot on teh ingredient list its actually a low concetration form ) so it is absoultely perfect for me to combine with the betaine HCL product that has a high concentration of pepsin .

Great quality and fresh ingredients. The texture and taste were better than expected, and the packaging was secure. I noticed consistent quality compared to similar products I’ve tried before.

My fiance swears by this. He uses it a few times per day based on meals and finds that it helps with managing digestion post larger carb meals. He has no trouble with the size. I imagine the quality is good as it’s beneficial to him and he’s been using it consistently for months now. No report of after taste and we opted for this one as the dosage was the highest.
