Potato Flakes, Instant Mashed Potatoes, 16 oz (454 g)

I bought a bag of these potato flakes to keep in my emergency groceries bin. Normally I buy mashed potato mix, but the fats in those mixes can make them go off a lot sooner; they also contain a lot of added unnecessary chemicals. I love that this is simply potato flakes, and you can flavor them however you like, as well as add the fat that you like, and make them with either milk or stock of your choice. One bag of this, will go a long way. I highly recommend these, as they are just one ingredient. They can be used in so many different ways, not just to make mashed potatoes. I use them to make potato soup, thicken up other soups and/or sauces, to bind canned tuna when I make tuna patties, to make potato croquettes, and to make mashed potatoes of course! This is a very versatile product, and the shelf life is very good. I think it will last beyond the best before date since it doesn't have anything added to it.

I bought this for the first time, very big package size. I tried to use it with water, butter and a little bit salt in a bowl then heat up with microwave, mixed potato flakes. It’s easy to cook and taste very good even without milk. Taste real potato no bad taste like the other mash potato mix. I already buy another packet for my stock. Really recommend it!

I was looking for high quality plain mashed potatoes without dodgy additives and this is it. Of course, instant mashed potatoes will never be as good as fresh but this is very convenient for a quick meal with good quality butter and full cream milk added. The package is large and there are many servings in it. You can also use it for other purposes like thickening soups instead of corn starch.

The quality of the product is quite nice acid is organic and super convenient. I would’ve thought that it’s powder, but it’s actually flakes so it does take a bit of boiling water to soften it. It taste great with butter and milk and a little bit of salt and the size is easily manageable for big ones and little ones.

Bob's is a great quality brand with clean ingredients. It's a trustworthy company. These potatoes have a great flavor and they cooked up beautifully. This is a large bag and we got many servings out of it for a family of three. It is difficult to tell the difference between fresh and dry potatoes with these. We'll be buying them again. They are great to use in a pinch.

I love these. I do not react to them even though they are not made in a certified gluten free facility. I do not have celiac, but I react to grains in general and also many spices because of another allergy. You can put water and oil in them cold if you really want to! Great for if you need a low energy meal!
