Great driving glasses! Amazing optical clarity! Positives/Negatives and a comparison to MJ Black Coral (customized with Hawaii Blue / Maui Brilliant lenses). Positives: -Amazing optical clarity with the super thin glass and amber base lens color. -The combination of amber base lens + red mirror brightens everything. -Nice protection with the wraparound design and relatively tall lens dimensions. -The red mirror finish is very striking visually. Negatives: -Nose pads are almost non-existent. This is a negative for comfort and feels like you basically dont have nose pads at all. When worn, you feel like you are in direct contact with the frame. (-1 Star). -The red mirror finish provides uneven color when you look through the lenses. The central area provides a warm amber hue to everything. Peripheral vision provides a cooler blue hue. Im not a fan of this not being uniform. When compared to the MJ Black Coral, the Black Coral are significantly lighter and I like the styling of the Black Coral sunglasses better. The Black Coral lenses with Hawaii Blue lenses also brighten everything with an amber hue but it doesnt feel as bright as the Alenuihaha with Lava Red lenses. The Black Corals are more comfortable because the weight and they have actual nose pads. However, the Alenuihaha Sunglasses are definitely better in my opinion as driving glasses or any situation where you want the best UV protection for your eyes. Basically, I'll wear the Alenuihaha glasses when driving and when I expect to be in the sun for long periods of time. Everywhere else, I will wear the Black Corals.

It's maui's...not alot to say for the lenses. I've been wearing maui's for 30 yrs or so. The frame is the problem...the spring hinges are very weak and feel like the glasses will fall off if I look down. Ill prob be sending them back...
