Aquamarine (1 ct. t.w.) and Diamond Accent Pendant Necklace in 14K Yellow Gold or 14K White Gold

My mom gifted this to me for my 40th birthday since it is our birth stone. I went to put it on, and the clasp got stuck in the open position. EXTREMELY disappointing. The chain is super dainty, I mean like concerningly so, esp combined with the awful clasp quality. That made me not trust it at all. I'd be devastated if I lost it. They really need to do better with the chains on these. The lady at the store even told me all their necklaces come on chains that need to be replaced if you want somethig to match the pendant quality. Sounds like they want to come as close to not giving a chain as possible, cuz this one was a whisper, so whats the point? Give us options to upgrade as an add-on or something! The kicker was that I couldn't exchange it in store, even. It's an online only item, so I've been chasing sales since March to try to get a replacement with what I have on my gift card. The two stars belong to the pendant bc it actually is pretty and I was happy with that part.

The chain came tied in a knot and the clasp was crushed to a point where it was unable to operate. Very disappointing.
