Lodge Cast Iron Chef Collection 2 Piece Skillet Cookware Set

I wanted to love this cast iron pan set because it was recommended by Wirecutter for being presseasoned and nonstick, even for eggs and cornbread. When I received the pans, I washed them gently with dishwashing soap and warm water, and then seasoned again with peanut oil (a nonseed oil with high burning point). The only thing I have made so far has been potstickers, and everything stuck to the pan. Nothing burnt, but the pastry was firmly stuck to the pan, such that I had to scrap them off with a steel spatula. I washed and seasoned again. So far, I am disappointed with the nonstick quality. Maybe with more seasoning and more cooking, things will get better.

Very well made. Definitely a good buy. Pre seasoned also.

Bought as a gift for my daughter.

The pans were shipped stacked, unsecured, with nothing between them to protect the bottom pan. So the coating on the bottom pan was scratched by the top pan and some silver metal flecks are visible on the surface amongst the seasoned coating, which is a concern for rust to get in there.
