Kiyonna Women's Plus Size Maria Lace Evening Gown

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with my dress. The minute I slid it on, it just felt right. It is pretty light weight given how much fabric there is. It lays softly and moves gracefully. I will not need any special undergarments. My event isn't for another three weeks, and I haven't yet sorted out the shoes I'll be wearing, so not sure if I will have to hem it or not, but possibly an inch or two. My one criticism is that the neck opening is not as wide at the collar bone as it looks to be on the model, but maybe that's just the difference in how we fill out the top. I always have to buy dresses to fit my thick waist so they are usually too big in the shoulders, but the shoulder seams on this dress hit me right where they should, so I'm happy with that. The arms are snug but not tight, which I believe makes them look thinner. Overall, the dress makes me look taller and thinner than I am and I anticipate getting lots of compliments. For reference, I am 5'5", 165lbs, with a 38" waist, and a medium bosom. I ordered the 1X. If I'd tried this on in a store, I'd have tried the 0X because the waist is so stretchy it may have worked. Kiyonna-I think this dress would be beautiful in a dusty lavender.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Comfortable dress, well designed and I loved having pockets. Purchases size 18, fit true to size. One issue: I wish I’d asked someone to take photos of me in the dress before the wedding. This way I would have know that when photographed from the side the sheer lace arms made my upper arms really stand out and look huge. Oh well.

Excelente design- elegant, with perfect pockets and a true-to- size fit. I definetely recommend it to anyone who likes navy blue.

Brought for a wedding! Dress was nice, fit well just didn’t like material it was. I felt like it would get a lot of pulls in the lace. The price was too much also.

The “bright berry” is not the gorgeous magenta shown online. It’s closer to purple than magenta. Will keep it though because it is still quality and beautiful.

This dress is a lot thinner than expected. My last one was heavier and seemed a little more well made. Plus it was long enough to wear heels and not have my ankles show.

I'm happy with the fit, though it's a touch too long for my height (5'5"). Feels soft on the inside, easy to move around in. LOVE the pockets!

THE DRESS'S 3/4 SLEEVES, V-NECK, NAVY COLOR, AND FULL LENGTH WERE EXACTLY WHAT I WAS SHOPPING FOR TO USE AS A MOTHER OF THE BRIDE DRESS. I WANTED TO LOVE IT. BUT WHEN IT ARRIVED, THE SIZING FELT AT LEAST A SIZE OR TWO SMALLER THAN ITS SIZE. THE WEIGHT OF THE DRESS FELT TOO LIGHTWEIGHT TO ME, MORE LIKE A HEAVY NIGHTGOWN THAN A DRESS FOR A FORMAL OCCASSION.

Did not feel or look like a formal dress one received. Looked and felt more like night gown. Was tighter on top, which never happens for me since I’m pear shaped. I normally buy up for my hips and usually the top needs to be taken in. Very unflattering dress shape and was not like their other a-line dresses. All around a big disappointment that made me feel horrible about my body. Save yourself the cry and order from someone else. Kitiona is great with casual dresses for larger women, but I think they assume like many other brands that larger women don’t deserve have nice looking formal wear and will be perfectly happy wearing burlap sack. Don’t put up with that treatment.
