Rachael Ray Nitro Cast Iron 6.5 Quart Dutch Oven

I received this pan as a wedding gift and have had it for just over a year. Prior to this weekend, I had primarily used it for baking bread, which it was really perfect for!! But, this weekend I used it to make a pot roast. The description and packaging of the pot says it's braise-ready, so I didn't think twice! Unfortunately it appears that my pot roast stripped the seasoning off the inside of this pan, and my roast and veggies definitely had a metallic taste. At least we will all be getting our dietary iron this week, lol. After washing and drying, the bottom of the pan is already rusty, so I will have to clean the rust and re-season it. And I live in the desert!!!! Buyer beware that this is not anything actually special in terms of cast iron. Acidic ingredients WILL strip the seasoning off this like any other cast iron pot.

It is ridiculously heavy. The ad said light. I will now have to sell it.

The skillet is too heavy, everything stick in the skillet.

The size of the skillet is amazing. Of course, the color is beautiful and matches the other agave pieces.

The pan is beautiful in color and very sturdy. Highly recommend!

We moved a couple years ago and the color scheme of the kitchen has changed. We had the Rachael Ray stainless steel pots and pans, nonstick bakeware and the ceramic pots and pans etc. for over 10 years. Everything still looks new and performs great. However as I stated the color scheme changed so I bought all new Rachael Ray cookware to replace and match our new color scheme. My wife is a big fan or Rachael Ray and her products.

Great for frying chicken. Comes out golden brown and crisp. I love the pan

I really like this pan. It is large enough to cook for a big family and versatile for anything that needs frying. Gorgeous too!
