My wife bought one recently. Her’s you can tap the base and light will light up mine won’t. Takes longer to charge my Apple Watch that other outlet in my home. FYI Fed Ex took 78 hours to deliver it the final 8 miles. My maps app said I could walk it in 8 hours. Hope you didn’t pay Fed Ex too much for terrible service.

My husband likes his flying saucer. However it does not connect to the lamp, it has its own separate cord. It is still a net gain, but does add to the tangle. The photo is careful to hide both cords.
