I wanted to like them...

I so wanted to like these but unfortunately they are just too "vinyl looking" in person, with the croc pattern emphasizing the vinyl look, and I just can't get past that. They also seem to run a tad small. I am a 9-1/2 wide so I go up to a 10 medium and these were still fitting tight in the toe box.
